Depth Hunter 2 offre 25 emozionanti missioni in 3 enormi ambientazioni in tutto il mondo. I giocatori potranno cacciare diverse specie di pesci ed affrontare le difficoltà della respirazione nella pesca in apnea, un antico metodo di pesca. I giocatori dovranno anche trovare dei tesori ed avranno la possibilità di scattare foto subacquee per catturare la bellezza dei mondi sottomarini simulati, dettagliati e vivaci che esploreranno anche nella modalità esplorazione. La pesca subacquea e la caccia subacquea sono antichi metodi di pesca e caccia, utilizzati per la cattura del pesce utilizzando un arpione meccanico. Oggi, la pesca subacquea è un'attività sportiva in molti paesi del mondo, soprattutto nel Regno Unito, nelle zone prossime al Mar Mediterraneo ed in Sud America. I pescatori cacciano mentre sono in apnea, trattenendo il respiro, in modo da coordinare la loro energia monitorando attentamente la loro preda, soprattutto nelle situazioni di caccia in sfide tatticamente impegnative.
